Synopsis[]
Can Ben make the team?
Plot[]
Emily's father is getting on Ben's case again, after the entire gargoyle incident. Football season is over, and Spencer needs something sport-related to pursue, so he drags Owen into trying out for basketball. Having Dinner with the Kesslers, Ben accidentally says that he will try out for basketball, in order to impress Emily's dad. Although Mr. Kessler is impressed, Emily is not, and the couple hits a rather rocky patch in their relationship.
Meanwhile, tensions between Paige and Owen are still present, and Paige gets him nice basketball shoes after Spencer commented about how Owen really, really needed new shoes. Ben proves to be extremely good at basketball, and makes the team.
Bonus Scene[]
Zoe picks up Emily in her car. Zoe notices Emily is feeling down, and Emily explains to Zoe that the reason why she's upset is because she isn't use to Ben not being able to be there for her when she needed him. Now that he has the basketball team, she's worried that things will become more difficult between them. Zoe reassures her that because they both care about one another so much, it won't matter. Ben will always place Emily before anything else. Emily is relieved and decides to ask Zoe about her love life since they're already on the topic. Now that Howard's gone, Emily wants to know if Zoe likes anyone new. Zoe smiles, thinking of Owen, and drops Emily off.
